Christmas at the Perez house..

Merry Christmas, everyone!
Santa was so great this year and the girls were absolutely thrilled with all their gifts...
They woke up around 10am and ran downstairs to see if Santa had stopped by...
Olivia was so excited when she noticed that Santa had eaten all the cookies we baked and started running around the house yelling "he liked the cookies, he ate them all!".. it was the cutest thing ever...
The girls then proceeded to open all of their gifts.. Olivia specially loved a Belle perfume she had asked for and Gaby's favorite was her baby stroller...
Seeing their faces light up when they saw their gifts was the highlight of my Christmas day.. so priceless!

Merry Christmas!!!

Merry Christmas... from our family to yours.....
We hope Santa was good to you this Christmas!!

Christmas eve...

Christmas Eve was so much fun this year... We were lucky to have a wonderful Venezuelan dinner at a friend's house and spend time with our lovely family...
The girls were dressed in their matching cute Christmas outfits and we were in a very festive mood...
Besides having a yummy meal, we also did a gift exchange and everyone was very happy about their gifts.. such a fun night...
Now we're ready for Santa!!!

Cookies for Santa

This year was our first time baking cookies for Santa; a tradition which I am hoping to start with the girls and keep it until they're too old to bake cookies with mommy...
This time we baked two kinds of cookies; shortbread chocolate chip cookies and regular butter cookies... we had such a blast mixing, cutting and baking the cookies.. and of course eating them! yum!
Olivia thought it was so much fun to get her hands dirty and test out the cookies.. Gaby also thought it was hilarious.. it was such a great adventure....

We hope to bake cookies every year.. it is such a fun thing to do with the kids!
I hope Santa really loves our cookies! ;)

It has been 13 years!

It has been 13 years since my beautiful sister Erika left this earth..
I have been missing her for all of those 13 years and it feels like it was just yesterday when she left us to go to heaven!
That day I lost a sister, and the world lost the most beautiful and pure soul..
Not a day goes by that I don't think about my sister Erika...
She is the angel of my life and I will love her forever...
Here's a picture of my sister Erika and I in 1984...

Dad's 60th birthday celebration

Yesterday we had a celebration for my dad's 60th birthday.  The party/luncheon was a surprise that we've been planning for months.  It was held at a local restaurant with close friends and families.
My dad was so surprised when he walked in and so everyone gathered around waiting for him.. It was so awesome to see his face and his reaction...
On top of that, I ordered a Yellow Submarine cake (my dad is HUGE Beatles' fan), which he loved!
It was such a great party and my dad was over the moon with happiness!
I don't have many pictures since my friend Alex did them and he hasn't finished them yet. Here's a couple of pics!

Who is reading this blog?

I love writing a blog and of course I love reading other people's blogs...this is such a wonderful outlet for many things...
I started this blog over 3 years ago with the idea of some day printing it up and giving it to my girls as a gift.. as a matter of fact, I still plan on doing that and I can't wait for the day they can read and hear about the fun stuff we do now...
The other day, after reading a post on my friend Maggie's blog (one of my fav), I started wondering who reads this blog?  Who are you? Why do you read it?  What do you think of it? Is anyone really reading this blog?  I'd love to know... leave a comment for me, would you??
...oh..and if you do follow this blog.. thank you for doing so!

Hello, Santa Claus!

Here's this year's Santa picture, which came out cuter than I expected despite the cranky Santa!
The girls were thrilled to be on Santa's lap and both of them did surprisingly well with smiling for the camera!
Merry Christmas, everyone! It doesn't get better than this!

School Holiday Show

What's better than a bunch of adorable kids?...well.. a bunch of adorable kids on stage singing Christmas songs!  Gosh! How cute is that?.. INCREDIBLY CUTE!
Last night we attended the girls' school holiday show, where they performed a bunch of awesome Christmas carols and other songs... I was such a proud mom and I'll admit I shed a few tears... too cute!

Disney at Christmas time..

Yeah, yeah, yeah...we LOVE Disney... but who doesn't, right???  It is literally THE happiest place on earth.. everything about it is awesome and the girls just love it so much.....
We're lucky to be annual pass holders AND to live only 3 hours away from this wonderful place.. so we go as much as we possibly can...
This weekend we visited Epcot Center and Magic Kingdom.. and let's just say I love Disney more and more every time we is such a magical place!
This time, both parks were magically decorated with Christmas stuff and everything was just perfect... Christmas trees, wreaths, lights, etc.. you name it.. they have it... On top of that, the weather was amazing and the crowds were decent...we enjoyed the rides, the parades, fireworks, etc..
We had a blast!!!! I just love Christmas.. Mickey style!
