Today I bought myself an early birthday present and I couldn't be happier...It is the Nikon 50mm f/1.8 lens, which I sure will be using A LOT to take portraits of the girls...
It is a fixed 50mm lens, that goes down to f/1.8, great for shooting portraits in low and ambient light exposures...
It also shoots very sharp photos and has a background blur capability....
The price is very affordable ($125) and I'm sure I'll have so much fun playing with it!
Can't wait to start shooting with my new lens...
Another item to cross off my wish list! ;)

Yay!! I just got the same lens! Well, mine is for a Canon - but it's the 50mm 1.8. Have fun shooting!!
